    American Airlines

    American Airlines parent AMR Corp announced Thursday they have managed to come up with $2.9 billion in extra financing to revamp planes and fly more profitable routes, news from the group sent shares soaring by nearly 24%. (read more at Millennium-Traders.Com)

    Building Permits:
    Building Permits rose 2.7% to 579,000 rate in August.

    Initial Jobless Claims:
    U.S. Jobless Claims fell 12K to 545K in week of September 12 compared to survey of an increase by 13K; U.S. Continuing Claims for week of Sep 5 rose 129K to 6,230,000; U.S. Jobless Claims Revised for week of Sep 5 to 557K from 550K.

    Housing Starts:
    U.S. August Housing Starts rose 1.5% to 598,000 compared to Consensus of an increase by 3.3%; August apartment construction surges; Single-Family Starts fell 3.0%; July Housing Starts Revised to fall 0.2% from a drop by 1.0%.

    Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Index:
    Philadelphia Fed September Business Index 14.1 versus August 4.2; Business Index Expected 8.0; Price Paid 14.9 versus August 10.0; Price Received fell 10.6 versus August drop by 1.5; Employment fell 14.3 versus August drop by 12.9; New Orders 3.3 versus August 4.2; Shipments 8.2 versus August 0.6; Delivery Times fell 8.9 versus August drop by7.0; Inventories fell 18.1 versus August 0.3.
