    Earnings Reports

    Investor's confidence was reassured today when a variety of companies released better than expected earnings reports, pushing stocks higher. (read more at Millennium-Traders.Com)

    Core PCE Price Index:
    U.S. July PCE Core Price Index +0.1% rate on the month; +1.4% on the year; U.S. July PCE Price Index Unchanged % rate on month; -0.8% on year.

    Personal Income/Spending:
    U.S. Personal Income Unchanged % in July compared to consensus of an increase by 0.1%; U.S. Personal Spending rose 0.2% in July compared to consensus of an increase by 0.3%; U.S. June Personal Income Revised to -1.1% from -1.3%; U.S. June Spending Revised to +0.6% from +0.4%.

    University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index:
    End-August Sentiment came in at 65.7 compared to July reading of 66.0; End-Aug Current Index came in at 66.6 compared to July reading of 70.5; End-Aug Expectations at 65.0 compared to July reading of 63.2; Preliminary August Sentiment was 63.2; 12-Month Inflation Forecast rose 2.8% compared to July increase of 2.9%; 5-Year Inflation Forecast rose 2.8% compared to July increase by 3.0%.
