    Today’s sample of Futures Analysis from FuturesHound.com

    Equity markets failed to follow-through to the upside following yesterday’s closing price reversal bottoms. Selling pressure was present from the opening this morning in New York as the lack of overnight news in Asia and Europe kept traders on the sidelines.

    U.S. traders tried to hold the stock indices steady throughout the day before caving in to selling pressure late in the trading session. Some indices are now at their lowest levels since May 1. This is leading most traders to believe that the much awaited correction of the March to June rally may finally be taking place.

    Treasury futures markets rallied late in the trading session as the latest round of Treasury debt selling seemed to be well received by market participants. Earlier in the day talk was circulating that interest rates would have to rise because of the oversupply of debt hitting the markets, but bullish traders were quick to note that the economy is weakening and that this borrowing is needed to help provide stimulus to the economy.
