    At the closing bell, here is how the major indices ended the session: the DOW (Dow Jones Industrial Average) posted a triple digit loss of 256.46 points on the day to end the session at 12,800.26; the NYSE (New York Stock Exchange) posted a triple digit loss of 223.97 points to end the session at 9,432.03; the NASDAQ posted a loss of 98.03 points for a close at 2,504.65; the S&P 500 posted a loss of 35.53 points for a close at 1,411.63 and the RUSSELL 2000 moved lower by 23.44 points to close at 721.57. The FTSE All-World Index ex-US (top Large/Mid Cap aggregate from over 2,700 stocks from the FTSE Global Equity Index Series (GEIS) which covers 90% of the world’s investable market capitalization) posted a loss of 4.22 points to close at 256.44 and the FTSE RAFI 1000 posted a triple digit loss of 137.27 points to close at 5,725.49.

    On the NYSE today, advancers came in at 718; decliners totaled 2,486; unchanged came in at 58; new highs came in at 35 and new lows came in at 499.

    Momentum stocks traded by active day traders on the NYSE today: CME Group Incorporated (CME) shed 25.25 points with a high on the day of $645.88, a low of $618.52 for a closing price at $624.28; Rio Tinto plc (RTP) shed 22.44 points with a high on the day of $423.54, a low of $404.26 for a closing price at $405.86; PetroChina Corporation Limited. (PTR) gained 5.15 points with a high on the day of $179.00, a low of $175.21 for a closing price at $175.79; Global Payments Incorporated (GPN) shed 6.96 points with a high on the day of $39.04, a low of $35.57 for a closing price at $38.25; Chipotle Mexican Grill, Incorporated (CMG) shed 14.69 points with a high on the day of $140.08, a low of $126.83 for a closing price at $127.01; Mastercard Incorporated (MA) shed 12.91 points with a high on the day of $209.20, a low of $198.44 for a closing price at $199.21; Transocean Incorporated (RIG) shed 3.48 points with a high on the day of $145.06, a low of $141.12 for a closing price at $142.46; FMC Technologies Incorporated (FTI) shed 1.61 points with a high on the day of $64.78, a low of $62.15 for a closing price at $63.27; State Street Corporation (STT) shed 3.55 points with a high on the day of $86.55, a low of $81.63 for a closing price at $81.82; Nuveen Municipal Value Fund Incorporated (NUV) gained 0.11 points with a high on the day of $9.65, a low of $9.56 for a closing price at $9.65; United States Steel Corporation (X) shed 6.36 points with a high on the day of $110.59, a low of $105.06 for a closing price at $106.05; Mobile Telesystems OJSC (MBT) shed 6.39 points with a high on the day of $101.20, a low of $95.00 for a closing price at $95.51 and Hess Corporation (HES) shed 4.52 points with a high on the day of $96.35, a low of $90.23 for a closing price at $93.35.

    On the NASDAQ today, advanced totaled 577; decliners totaled 2,489; unchanged came in at 73; new highs came in at 19 and new lows came in at 476. Momentum stocks on the NASDAQ today: Google Incorporated (GOOG) shed 28.33 points with a high on the day of $680.96, a low of $655.00 for a closing price at $657.00; Baidu.com Incorporated (BIDU) shed 14.09 points with a high on the day of $371.53, a low of $358.00 for a closing price at $361.00; Intuitive Surgical Inc (ISRG) shed 16.75 points with a high on the day of $318.33, a low of $302.27 for a closing price at $305.00; Apple Incorporated (AAPL) shed 14.88 points with a high on the day of $193.00, a low of $178.89 for a closing price at $180.05; Akeena Solar Incorporated (AKNS) gained 1.40 points with a high on the day of $15.33, a low of $13.54 for a closing price at $15.00; First Solar Incorporated (FSLR) shed 20.29 points with a high on the day of $262.51 a low of $243.36 for a closing price at $245.58; Garmin Limited (GRMN) shed 2.50 points with a high on the day of $89.86 a low of $86.77 for a closing price at $88.45; SunPower Corporation (SPWR) shed 5.17 points with a high on the day of $133.43, a low of $124.78 for a closing price at $126.12; Micrel Incorporated (MCRL) shed1.54 points with a high on the day of $6.50, a low of $5.58 for a closing price at $6.28; Research In Motion Limited (RIMM) shed 9.47 points with a high on the day of $110.43, a low of $103.28 for a closing price at $103.35; Bed Bath & Beyond Incorporated (BBBY) shed 1.21 points with a high on the day of $26.54, a low of $24.49 for a closing price at $26.19; Foster Wheeler Limited (FWLT) shed 9.48 points with a high on the day of $167.49, a low of $158.40 for a closing price at $159.69; DryShips, Incorporated (DRYS) shed 6.40 points with a high on the day of $78.97, a low of $72.51 for a closing price at $73.17; Delta Petroleum Corporation (DPTR) gained 2.50 points with a high on the day of $23.85, a low of $19.80 for a closing price at $22.82 and UAL Corporation (UAUA) gained 1.40 points with a high on the day of $33.47, a low of $29.46 for a closing price at $33.15.

    U.S. November Payrolls revised higher by 115K from an increase by 94K; U.S. December Overall Workweek changed by 0.0 Hour to 33.8 Hours; U.S. December Manufacturing Payrolls fell 31K; U.S. December Service-Producing Payrolls rose by 93K; U.S. December Average Hourly Earnings rose by $0.07 to $17.71; U.S. December Unemployment Rate came in at 5.0% compared to consensus of 4.8% and U.S. December Nonfarm Payrolls rose by 18K compared to consensus of an increase by 50K.

    U.S. Institute for Supply Management December Non- Manufacturing New Orders Index came in at 53.5 versus 51.1; U.S. ISM December Non- Manufacturing Prices Index 72.7 came in at versus November reading at 76.5; U.S. ISM December Non- Manufacturing Employment Index came in at 52.1 versus November reading at 50.8; U.S. ISM December Non- Manufacturing Business Index came in at 53.9 versus November reading at 54.1; U.S. ISM December Non- Manufacturing Business Index Expected to come in at 53.5 and U.S. ISM December Non- Manufacturing Business Index came in at 53.9.

    Commodities Markets
    The trend was mostly lower across the board today for the Energy Sector: Light crude moved lower today by $1.27 to close at $97.91 a barrel; Heating Oil moved lower today by $0.14 to close at $2.68 a gallon; Natural Gas moved higher today by $0.11 to close at $7.81 per million BTU and Unleaded Gas moved lower today by $0.03 to close at $2.51 a gallon.

    Metals Market ended the session lower across the board today: Gold moved lower today by $3.40 to close at $865.70 a Troy ounce; Silver moved lower today by $0.04 to close at $15.46 per Troy ounce; Platinum moved lower today by $4.70 to close at $1,547.10 per Troy ounce and Copper moved lower today by $0.03 to close at $3.16 per pound.

    On the Livestock and Meat Markets, the trend was lower across the board today: Lean Hogs ended the day lower by $0.08 to close at $56.40; Pork Bellies ended the day lower by $0.58 at $84.13; Live Cattle ended the day lower by $0.23 at $94.55 and Feeder Cattle ended the day lower by $0.58 at $103.35.

    Other Commodities: Corn ended the day higher by $0.75 at $466.75 and Soybeans moved lower today by $5.00 to end the session at $1,262.50.

    Bonds were higher across the board today: 2 year bond moved higher by 5/32 to close at 100 31/32; 5 year bond moved higher by 1 1/32 to close at 102 1/32 today; 10 year bond moved higher by 8/32 to close at 103 4/32 and the 30 year bond moved higher by 1/32 to close at 110 15/32 on the day.

    The e-mini Dow ended the session today at 12,850 with a loss of 293 points on the trading session. The total Dow Exchange Volume for the day came in at 130,269 which are comprised of Electronic, Open Auction and Cash Exchange.     The end of day results for the CBOT (Chicago Board of Trade) which is comprised of the total Exchange Volume for Futures and Options (EVFO) including Electronic, Open Auction and Cash Exchange ended the day at 3,180,734; Open Interest for Futures moved lower by 72,059 points to close at 9,414,537; the Open Interest for Options moved higher by 109,193 points to close at 6,521,178 and the Cleared Only closed higher by 742 points to close at 20,205 for a total Open Interest on the day of 15,955,920 for a total Change on the day with a gain of 37,876 points.
