    As the markets began the holiday trading week, the Bulls were in control proposing a nice rally. During the mid afternoon trading session, the NASDAQ took a sharp turn southbound, ending the trading day in negative territory. The DOW successfully held its own in positive territory into the closing bell, but gave up quite a bit of its triple digit gain seen, during the market session. (read more)

    Livestock and Meat Markets (cents per lb.): Lean Hogs (CME) shed 0.15 to close at 76.10; Pork Bellies (CME) shed 0.63 to close at 77.05; Live Cattle (CME) shed 1.20 to close at 97.90; Feeder Cattle (CME) shed 1.33 to close at 111.75.

    Other Commodities (cents per bu.): Corn (CBT) shed 4.25 to close the session at 586.75 and Soybeans (CBT) shed 45.00 to close session at 1,333.00.

    Bond action for the day: 2 year bond gained 3/32 to close at 99 15/32 with a Yield of 2.39, Yield Change -0.05; 5 year bond gained 4/32 to close at 100 6/32 with a Yield of 3.07, Yield Change -0.02; 10 year bond shed 8/32 to close at 99 31/32 with a Yield of 3.82, Yield Change -0.02; the 30 year bond gained 5/32 to close at 96 28/32 on the day with a Yield of 4.56, Yield Change -0.01.

    The e-mini Dow $5 ended the commodity session today at 13,000 with a gain of 17 points on the trading session.
